HELP FOR SENIORS
There is a great resource now available in our community for seniors. The Kinsmen Club of Miramichi has a grant to employ students to do odd jobs for seniors during the summer.  All the senior has to do is call the Kinsmen Club at 506-622-4046 and request a student.  The coordinator will then arrange for a student to go to the seniors house at an agreed date/time for up to 3 hours and do whatever the senior needs (e.g., lawn mowing, painting, raking, etc.).  There are a ton of students on call in Miramichi, but also some in Sunny Corner, Black River, and Baie du Vin.  It’s a great program but it may lose its funding next year if it is not used.
