STARTING SEPTEMBER 1
The Miramichi Minor Hockey Club is pleased to announce the availability
of online registration for the 2015-2016 hockey season. Many parents will
be familiar with the Goalline registration system, currently in use locally by both Miramichi Twins baseball and Miramichi
Starting September 1st, online registration
for the upcoming season will be available at www.MiramichiMinorHockey.ca, by cash, cheque, or credit card. This is open to players of all ages, from 4 to 18 (if your child turns
4 in this calendar year, they can play). Please use a laptop or desktop computer, as tablets and smartphones will NOT
work with this. Please note that this year everyone will be registering as a new player in the system, and will have
access to their information in future years.
note that a Medicare number is required to register online or in person, and a valid e-mail address is recommended.
The fee for the first player aged 5 to 18 in any family is $425.00, with additional
family members $325.00 each. Beginners (age 4 this calendar year) play FREE. A late charge of $50 extra will be
applied on registrations received after October 15th.
registration will include all participants in the Miramichi Minor Hockey system. Players registering in Baie Ste Anne,
Renous, Rogersville, and Sunny Corner will be advised of how and when to register by their respective organizations.
Players and parents are encouraged to register soon in all locations, so that planning for team formation can begin.
For those wishing to register in person, or to pay their cash/cheque registration, the city wide Mass Registration will
be held at the Golden Hawk Recreation Center on Saturday September 12th from 9 AM to 12 noon. Miramichi Minor Hockey
recommends avoiding the lineups by registering and paying at home through credit card with PayPal, the email receipt will
come right away. Cheques or money orders (no cash please) can also be mailed to Miramichi Minor Hockey Club, P.O. Box

winds down. Drowning is the number one cause of death in Children under 5 and so it is important to always wear properly sized

AS OF SEPTEMBER 1
Autism Resource Miramichi would
like to inform the public that the Autism Resources Miramichi office and
the ARM BOOK NOOK will be relocating to Douglastown. The new address will be 2 Allen Street in Miramichi in the old Sky Tec building and used to be T&R Sports behind the mall. The Autism Resource Miramichi office will be closed from AUGUST 27 - SEPTEMBER
8 to allow them to make the move.
Autism Resource Miramichi are currently taking names for participants
to start in an employment program starting this fall. The program
would be tailored specifically to individuals with an Autism Spectrum disorder
who are over the age of 18. The program is planned to run for 1 year and target the skills necessary to maintain a job or a business start- up in the area of interest. you name. There are only 8 spots available.
The "Move it or Lose it" program provides an opportunity for
individuals 50 and over to get and stay active. The program features walking, pole walking, seminars on active living
and geocaching in the beautiful scenery of the French Fort Cove. Whether you would like to try some new activities such
as pole walking and geocaching or would just like to join us to walk the trails, there is something for everyone.

This program is FREE to individuals but there
are limited spaces due to equipment availability. If you would like to register for these exciting new programs you can do

FIRST TUESDAY OF THE MONTH
The Greater Miramichi Parkinson
Support Group meet at he Sobeys Community Room in Douglastown starting at 7:00pm. Everyone is welcome to attend these
meetings and for more details, please contact Velma at 506-773-6239
The Community Support Group will be happening from 6:30pm -
8:30pm at Newcastle Kin Centre. This nurturing group is designed for people recovering from Mental Health and Addictions.

The Miramichi Grand Lake Conservative EDA Fundraising Dinner will
be held at Mirawood Cafe, 65 King Street, Miramichi. A roast beef dinner will be served at 6:30pm and tickets are $50.

The Miramichi Folksong Festival presents "Remembering

SEPTEMBER 7, Monday
There will be a Labour
Day Fundraiser for the Miramichi Food Bank held at the Beaverbrook Kin Center from 1:00pm - 4:00pm. The fundraiser will
be hosted by Susan Butler and will feature a BBQ sponsored by the CUPE local 865, a bake sale (bake sale items are needed)
and a concert featuring many Miramichi musicians. Admission is a donation at the door. For bake sale donations

The Schizophrenia Society of NB Annual Awareness day will be happening

There will be a night
of uplifting music happening at Salisbury Baptist Church at 7:00pm. A free will offering towards stage modifications
will be taken and refreshments will be available for sale to go towards the Jr. Choir.
The Mount Saint Joseph Foundation, will be hosting their fourth annual Black Tie
Bingo & Dinner for our Foundation. This 2015 BTB Gala is to celebrate the support they received over the past four years.
The Black Tie Event takes place on October 24th, 2015 at the Rodd, Miramichi. Not only is the event going to be filled with
fun activities such as bingo, a silent, and a live auction, but there will also be delicious food and very exciting prizes
to be won!
