Greater Blackville Resource Center (Food Bank – Clothing – Soup Kitchen) will be opening! Located at 12073
Upper Blackville, the center will be open every Wednesday 10:00am - 2:00pm, Thursday from 10:00am - 4:00pm and Friday 10:00am
- 2:00pm. They have men’s, women’s & children’s used clothing or footwear, household items,
skis, poles, skates and various items all priced to sell. Please let them know if you are interested in volunteering
even one Thursday a month or if you would like to donate used clothing andhousehold items, please call 506-843-9034.

MAY 23, Thursday - MAY 25, Saturday Autism Resources Miramichi is looking for volunteers to help with a fundraiser event to be held at the New Brunswick Liquor Stores in Chatham
and Newcastle. They will have a small table with autism awareness material and we will be selling Westjet tickets to
the public. If you have an hour or 2 to spare, please call the centre. We are in desperate need of volunteers. __________________________________________________________________

24, Friday & MAY 25, Saturday Miramichi Fly Fishing and Sportsman Show 2013 will be held at the Miramichi
Curling Club, 21 Cove Rd. in Miramichi. Admission is $5 per day & all profits go to support youth fly fishing programs.
Fly fishing workshops and sportsman displays and demonstrations will be on ongoing. This event is held 506-622-0735.
Also, Curtis Miramichi River Outfitters and Fly Casting School will be hosting their single and double hand rod casting MAY 31, Friday & JUNE 1, Saturday in Blackville for those who are interested in attending.

Society Miramichi annual 'Walk for Memories' will be held, starting at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #3 in Chatham.
The 'Walk for Memories' will be from 12:00pm - 4:00pm and there will be refreshments, a BBQ, Pizza, Door prizes and
a silent auction during the day. There will be cotton candy, a ballonman and games for the kids! This promises

JUNE 8, Saturday The
5th Miramichi Fusion Festival takes places at the Golden Hawk facility and surrounding area from 8:30am - 6:00pm. The
Fusion Festival is an all day annual event which sees many groups and activities coming together for a day of community involvement,
youth participation and fun. This event evolved from the annual M.E.M.A. Slow-Pitch tournament which began in 2007 and
it continues to grow! It is a festival for the whole family, especially promoting our youth. Along with the slow-pitch
tournament, the events scheduled for this year include: Tim Horton's Bike Rodeo, 3-on-3 basketball, games room, skateboard
clinic, face painting, breakfast, barbecue and a bake sale just to name a few. Others are in the process of confirmation.
Each time an individual participates in an event, they will be given a ballot. At the end of the day names will be drawn

honorable Frank McKenna is returning to the Miramichi as
a keynote speaker for St. Michaels Basilica Parish fundraising
dinner. 'An Evening With Frank', is a fundraiser
in support of the Basilica's Capital Campaign to raise
1 million dollars over a 5 year period. If you enjoy good
food, good company and want to hear an inspirational presentation
by Mr. McKenna, come and join in at the St. Michael's
Parish Center on Howard Street. Doors open at 6:00pm
and dinner will be served at 6:30pm. Tickets are $100

There will be Gospel Concerts, New Brunswick Day Breakfast and Noon luncheons with live music, Children's Shows, vocal
Workshop and evening concerts. There will also be the 'Folk Feast & Fun' which includes dinner at the Kin Centre
followed by a Musical Boat Ride and evening Concert and jam sessions. There will be a closing Dinner Theatre with the
