July 25, Monday
Co-EdWasher Toss will begin and held each Monday evening at the Nordin Rec Center. The games will start at 7:00pm and the cost is $6. Cash prizes will be given out for first, second and third place and there is no need to bring a partner, as partners will be determined through a draw. All are welcome

July 26, Tuesday
There is a weekly prayer & bible study that happens at the Boom Road Pentecostal Church, every
Tuesday night.  From 6:30pm - 7:00pm there is prayer and from 7:00pm - 8:00pm the bible study called "A Walk in the Word" happens with Gerald and Fay Regan.  All are welcome.

July 26, Tuesday
There is a weekly Bible study that happens at Hillside Church in Blackville starting at 7:00pm.  Everyone is welcome to attend.

Holy Trinity Congregational Church on the former airbase is holding an engaging Bible Study every Tuesday evening. Our small group is learning about basic Biblical and spiritual principles using the book called, Thirty Discipleship Exercises  The Pathway to Christian Maturity. Feel free to join us. Hospice Miramichi is excited to announce the grand opening of their Day Hospice Program,
Phase 2 of their 3-stage plan of introducing hospice services to the Miramichi and surrounding areas. The Day Hospice Program is the only such program of its kind within the Atlantic Provinces and its goal is to not only provide support to individuals living with progressive life limiting illnesses but also to offer respite for their families.  Please help us celebrate this milestone by attending the open house on Monday between the hours of 1:00pm and 3:00pm at 14 Howard St., located directly behind St. Michael’s Basilica.

Metepenagiag Mi’kmaq Nation (Red Bank) will be holding its Annual Pow Wow at the Metepenagiag Pow Wow Grounds near the Metepenagiag Heritage Park. The 59th Annual Miramichi Folksong Festival, is the longest standing folksong festival in Canada! Featuring Valdy, Richard Wood (Fiddler), Missy Burgess, Stephan Palmer, and a host of Maritime and Canadian talent. Some of the festivities include a pre-festival gospel concert, NB day breakfast with live music, noon luncheons with live music, evening concerts, children’s show, folksong feast & fun with dinner and live music followed by a musical river boat tour and evening concert, and a closing dinner/concert – Country Tribute, featuring the music of Johnny Cash, Buddy Holly, Marty Robbins and Patsy Cline. August 6, Saturday
Miramichi MudFest will be happening at the Nordin Rec Center.  ATV Mud Bog, ATV Obstacle Course and Side by Side Racing.  Events registration starts at 9:00am with the events beginning at 10:30am.  Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for teens (13-17) and free for those 12 & under.  Great prizes for the competitors, cost is $10/event.  An ATV Dealer show will be happening as well.

August 6, Saturday ( Rain Date Aug.7th)
The City of Miramichi together with the Miramichi Evangelical Ministerial Association (MEMA) are pleased to announce the 2nd annual "A Day-in-the-Park" event, at the Queen Elizabeth Park (Newcastle Town Square) between 4:00pm and 6:30pm. There will be entertainment and food freely available to members of the community.  Last year's celebration saw the distribution of 500 BBQ'd hot-dogs and beverages to community members. The purpose of the event is to grow a closer community. Meet your city councilors and local clergy as well friends and family. August 9, Tuesday
The Canadian Peacekeeping Veterans Association, Miramichi Chapter will be holding a flag raising ceremony in Queen Elizabeth Park. The parade / ceremony will begin at 11:00am.

August 13, Saturday
The annual Woodsmen’s museum Professional Lumberjack Competition will be taking place at 6342 Route 8 Highway, Boiestown. This annual competition features a variety of exciting events including the springboard chop, the hot saw and the axe throw. This is a great event for the entire family that displays part of the heritage of New Brunswick! Hot dogs and hamburgers will be available for purchase. There are various categories for the competition including best lumberjack, lumberjill and a fun competition for the kids!

August 14, Sunday
The Miramichi East Playground Committee is hosting an all day fundraiser at Maurie's Ice Cream and Mini-Putt from 11:45am - 9:15pm.  All the proceeds from the mini-putt and a percentage of ice cream sales will go directly to the fund.  They will also have a BBQ running from 11:45am - 5:00pm with hotdogs and water/pop to purchase.  There will be a 50/50 draw and a donation jar too.
